The Pipefitter prepares, fabricates, installs and fits pipe to specifications. Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine piping requirements. Measures, cuts, threads, assembles, and installs piping systems. Ensures proper fitting and alignment of pipes and related components. Performs welding, soldering, and brazing as needed for secure connections. Conducts pressure tests and inspections to verify system integrity and safety.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices.
• Owns and knows how to use basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of reading a tape measure.
• Basic Mathematics.
• Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
• Assures a clean work area.
• Has own tools and PPE.
• Required experience level will vary depending on project.

Education aligned with Experience.

• Ability to reach blueprints.
• Ability to bend pipes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
