At Miller Industries we design, engineer, and manufacture custom products in the USA, at our locations in Fenton and Burton, Michigan, and with engineering support in El Paso, Texas. We provide custom steel fabrication, commercial and industrial HVAC systems, and modular mechanical and electrical systems to automotive, healthcare, institutional, and semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.

Fitter/Welder – 3rd Shift (9 p.m. – 5:30 a.m., Sunday–Friday)

• Read engineered drawings, cut, weld, and assemble materials for custom products.
• Fabricate, weld, and install components according to drawings.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Set up and operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and Arc machines.
• Use hand and power tools – saws, drills, grinders, cutters – and measuring tools to prepare and align parts.
• Maintain quality workmanship and customer service.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules.

• 5+ years of fabrication and welding experience (MIG, TIG, Arc) on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong reading ability for cut lists and engineering drawings.
• Mechanical proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Integrity, energy, creativity, a positive attitude.
• Strong safety mindset and willingness to promote a safety culture.
• Willingness to maintain a clean workspace and assist with shop housekeeping.

Must handle 10–50 lb loads, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and operate tools in sometimes extreme environments. Ability to manage stress and operational demands.
