Automotive Diesel / Heavy‑Duty Mechanic – Fenton, Michigan
A powerhouse service department with real volume, real leadership, and the kind of equipment heavy‑duty techs actually need to do the job right. This dealership in Fenton, MI is looking for a skilled Diesel & Heavy‑Duty Mechanic who can handle big jobs, tough diagnostics, and the kind of work that keeps commercial and retail customers on the road. If you want a shop where management respects your expertise, the bays stay full, and the parts department actually supports you, this is that kind of environment.

You’ll be stepping into a team that values precision, accountability, and craftsmanship — not chaos. Expect modern diagnostic tools, strong OEM support, and a service department that understands the difference between a real diesel tech and a general line mechanic. Whether you’re a seasoned master or a rising diesel specialist, this is a strong opportunity in a high‑demand Michigan market.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drive trains, emissions systems, and heavy‑duty components
  • Perform maintenance, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical work on trucks and larger vehicles
  • Handle advanced troubleshooting using OEM scan tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding findings and recommended repairs
  • Document all work performed with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Contribute to a professional, team‑oriented shop culture
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • Experience as a Diesel Technician, Heavy‑Duty Mechanic, or Automotive/Diesel Hybrid Tech
  • Strong diagnostic abilities with diesel engines, DEF systems, and emissions components
  • Familiarity with OEM systems, scan tools, and modern repair procedures
  • Ability to manage larger, more complex repairs independently
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • CDL is a plus but not required
  • ASE Diesel or OEM certifications are a strong advantage
What This Role Offers
  • A respected dealership with steady workflow and strong leadership
  • Competitive pay based on diesel experience and certifications
  • Flat‑rate or hourly options depending on background
  • Access to OEM training, diesel certifications, and advancement opportunities
  • A well‑equipped shop with heavy‑duty lifts, tools, and strong parts support
  • A team environment that values skill, reliability, and professionalism
