Budget Analyst
We’re seeking a Budget Analyst I or II to join our Accounting team in Fergus Falls, MN and support our commitment to environmental, economic, and community stewardship. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related financial field and has at least two years of financial accounting experience, including a solid understanding of accounting processes and issue resolution.
Knowledge of GAAP, FERC principles, and experience with budgeting software, Oracle, CRM systems, or tools that support customer service and market planning is preferred; utility industry experience is also a plus. Strong communication skills are essential, especially the ability to explain financial concepts to non‑accounting audiences while maintaining a supportive, approachable style. This role requires a self‑starter who can work independently while remaining accessible to customer service teams and leadership.
Key responsibilities include providing analysis, evaluation, and reporting for all Customer Service cost centers and coordinating the Customer Service budget and forecast processes to ensure accurate and timely data and reporting.

- The expected base compensation for this role is $49,000 – $78,000 annually. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
