Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking a Paraprofessional/Site Assistant to join our team at Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This unique dual role combines responsibilities as a Special Education Paraprofessional with school site support duties. LCA is a Setting IV program serving K-12 students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and emotional/behavioral disorders (EBD) in a highly structured, supportive environment.
We are looking for someone who is organized, caring, and eager to contribute to both student success and smooth school operations.
Position Details- Schedule:
7.25 hours/day, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM (as set by site administrator) - Work Year: 182 days
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students under the guidance of licensed teachers
- Assist with implementing students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support daily school operations, including office tasks, communication, and scheduling
- Coordinate daily breakfast and lunch
- Serve as the building's health aide, including administering student medications
- Maintain a welcoming, efficient school environment while working collaboratively with staff
- High school diploma or GED AND
- One of the following:
- 60+ postsecondary credits
- Associate's degree (2-year)
- Passing score on the Para educator or Para Pro exam (can be completed within 30 days of hire)
- Experience working with students with challenging behaviors
- A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed
$20.60 - $26.00 per hour depending on qualifications
