Preschool Classroom Assistant - Part Time

Part-Time Preschool/ECFE Classroom Assistant

The Fergus Falls Public Schools have an immediate opening for a part-time Preschool/ECFE Classroom Assistant. This position is scheduled for up to 29 hours/week. Pay rate: $20.25/hour; and includes earned sick and safe time leave.

Education/

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young children and parents
• Ability to work cooperatively with certified staff, parents, and young children
• Prefer education related to early childhood education, CDA, or childcare field

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Working with young children ages 0-5 and 3-5 in a classroom setting (under the supervision of a teacher)
• Assist in prep of classroom: set up, clean up and activities
• Assist parents and children as needed during drop off and pick up times including getting children on and off bus
• Assist teacher with children in the classroom and facilitating activities
• Work with small groups or individual children
• Assist parents and children as needed during ECFE classes
• Give breaks for staff
• Assist with light cleaning duties
• Work with staff and parents in a professional manner
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and parents
• Participate in in-service trainings
