Senior Planner (Urban Planning / Land Use)
Location:
Northern / Western Minnesota (Alexandria, Fergus Falls, or Brainerd area)
Schedule:
Full-time | Office-based or hybrid
An established, employee-owned organization is hiring a Senior Planner to support land use and community development projects across regional communities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to long‑term planning initiatives while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications- Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning
- 10 years experience in MN in local government and/or consulting
- Membership in American Institute of Certified Planners
- Some Project Management Experience
- Conduct land use analysis, zoning reviews, and planning studies
- Utilize GIS tools to analyze spatial and demographic data
- Prepare plans, reports, and related deliverables
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and community engagement efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams across engineering and environmental functions
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
