Role Overview

As a Financial Specialist, you will provide a range of bookkeeping functions for Guardianship Options by coordinating with Guardian/Conservator in the management and reporting of the financial affairs of vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain financial documentation according to policy and present to all internal and external auditors upon request.
  • Document and bill service hours for each assigned client following LSS GO policy and procedures.
  • Handle all finances associated with the client’s estate, including but not limited to payment of bills, reconciling accounts, handling deposits, etc.
Minimum Requirements
  • Two-year associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounting, banking or customer service is required.
  • Coordinating skills required to organize and maintain separate financial records for 30 to 60 individual clients.
  • Computer literacy, spreadsheets, word processing and basic budgeting required.
  • Strong communication skills; good listening and questioning abilities.
  • Strong administrative skills to monitor financial data and adhere to financial policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • DHS criminal background check required.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail regarding financial tasks.
  • Good planning and organizational skills; able to determine priorities and manage time appropriately.
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills to analyze problems regarding best interests of clients.
