Regulatory Analyst I
Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to support our regulatory and financial analysis efforts. This role plays a key part in developing the data and analysis used in rate proceedings, regulatory filings, and cost recovery initiatives.
Location:
Fergus Falls, MN (or regional service locations)
Salary Grade:
Regulatory Analyst I is grade 11. Regulatory Analyst II is grade 13.
The Regulatory Analyst works collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate, consistent information supports regulatory compliance and business decisions, while contributing to cost of service studies and revenue requirement analysis.
The Regulatory Analyst reports to Manager Regulatory Accounting.
Develop and maintain cost of service studies and related financial models
Analyze revenue requirements and prepare supporting financial analysis
Support regulatory filings, including exhibits, testimony, and information requests
Partner with Accounting, Business Planning, Legal, and other teams to ensure consistency in filings
Prepare financial and regulatory reports and perform specialized analyses
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations
Understanding of regulatory rules or utility operations (preferred)
Effective communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams

The expected offer for base compensation for this role is $76,000 - $127,000 annually. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
