Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser Floater you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other brands in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Hourly pay $16.00–$18.00 depending on skills and experience.
- Paid on‑the‑job training, including live instruction and virtual classroom.
- Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours 6–10.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support season changeovers, expanded services, installations, and inventory support.
You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers). The position includes three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a Hallmark mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory both inside and outside the department. Technology is critical for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store staff, managers, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark display at your assigned stores.
- Holiday support: During seasonal demand peaks (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), you may work additional days and extended hours, and on some holidays you may be required to work on the actual holiday or weekend.
- Department resets: Occasional team assignments include building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Teams are notified at least two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- Team support: As part of Hallmark’s field organization you may support other team members as needed in their territories.
This job is physically demanding. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 lbs daily and up to 50 lbs on occasion. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs or step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum age 18.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of pulling, lifting, and carrying products up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to assigned stores on schedule.
