RoleSummary
As an Intermediate Teacher, you will lead a classroom within one of our six dedicated intermediate elementary schools (Grades 3‑5). You will facilitate a rigorous, student‑centered environment that prepares young learners for the transition to middle school through collaborative projects, data‑driven instruction, and strong social‑emotional support.
Key Duties- Guide students as they transition from foundational literacy to complex, inquiry‑based learning.
- Collaborate with your grade‑level PLC to analyze student growth and pivot instruction in real time.
- Leverage district assets such as Little Creek Nature Area and STEAM initiatives to make learning multi‑dimensional.
- Build a classroom culture where “Community” is lived experience for every student.
- Certified Professional:
Valid Missouri Teaching Certification (Elementary Ed 1‑6). - Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree (required);
Master’s degree preferred. - Comfortable teaching any grade level within the 3‑5 span.
- Committed to ensuring every student, regardless of background, has a seat at the table of success.
- Excited to integrate technology and hands‑on learning into daily instruction (STEAM‑Ready).
- Primary Support:
Building Principal. - Instructional Support:
District Academic Coaches and Building Leadership Team.
- Classification:
Exempt, Certified Staff. - Work Year: 10‑Month Academic Calendar, 187 Contract Days.
- Salary:
Based on the Teacher Salary Schedule, as outlined in district policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Mentorship:
Every new intermediate teacher is paired with a veteran mentor for the first two years. - Planning:
Weekly collaborative planning time built into the contract. - Professional Growth:
Tuition reimbursement and district‑provided professional development. - Work‑Life Balance:
