Role SummaryAs a Middle School Science Teacher, you will inspire and support students in reaching their academic and scientific goals. You will deliver high‑quality, inquiry‑based instruction that aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), focusing specifically on the developmental needs of 7th and 8th grade learners. Working collaboratively with your building team and community partners, you will create a supportive, student‑centered environment that empowers every scholar to think like a scientist and act like an innovator.

- Certified Professional: Valid Missouri Teaching Certification in Middle School Science (5-9) or General Science (7-12).
- Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, required;

- Foster Literacy: Help students master the art of scientific communication—reading complex texts, writing lab reports, and presenting evidence‑based arguments.
- Primary Support: Building Principal
- Instructional Support: District Science Coordinator and Middle School STEAM Coaches
- Classification: Exempt, Certified Staff
- Work Year: 10-Month Academic Calendar (187 Contract Days)
- Salary: Based on the Teacher Salary Schedule, determined by experience and education level.
