Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the finance team in Amelia Island, Florida on a Contract basis. This role focuses on managing invoice workflows, supporting accurate vendor payments, and maintaining organized financial records within a hospitality environment. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong Excel capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy to support timely payment processing.
• Prepare check runs and electronic payments, including ACH transactions, in accordance with established financial controls.
• Issue manual payments when urgent situations require immediate resolution.
• Maintain orderly and up-to-date vendor documentation so inquiries and audits can be handled efficiently.
• Work with the external accounting support team to reconcile vendor statements and investigate billing discrepancies.
• Respond professionally to questions from vendors, guests, and internal departments regarding payment status and account details.
• Assist with additional accounting activities as needed to support daily finance operations.
