APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Ferndale, MI looking to add a Quality Manager to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and lead the Quality Management System within a forging manufacturing environment while driving continuous improvement across operations.

What your day will look like:
  • Leading and managing all quality-related activities for forging operations
  • Reviewing production, scrap, and quality metrics to drive improvements
  • Walking the forge floor to audit processes and product quality
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Production to resolve quality concerns
  • Communicating with customers regarding quality issues, approvals, and corrective actions
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience in forging, metal forming, or heavy manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of forging processes, heat treatment, and machining
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 standards
  • Proficiency with quality tools such as SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
