Aaron's Estate Sales | Ferndale, MI (in office) | $70,000-$85,000/year + benefits | Full time.

Aaron's Estate Sales runs more estate sales than anyone in Michigan: 300+ a year, 5 to 10 a week in season, 3,000+ completed to date, with a team of about 40 that flexes with the calendar. We're hiring an HR Manager to own the people side of that machine and build the team that runs it.

You own HR end-to-end, working directly with the CEO and COO. No layers, no committee.

• Recruiting: Full-cycle for every open seat, including your own first hire, a recruiter who reports to you. You'll run our job allocation board: live visibility into every open seat, every candidate in the pipeline, and every coverage gap.
• Onboarding and training: We built a 16-course in-house training platform with defined paths for every role. It's good, and nobody is enforcing it. You'll own it, run it, and make completion non-negotiable.
• Employee relations: First line for issues, hard conversations, and terminations. You hear it first, resolve what you can, escape what you should.
• Payroll and compliance: Weekly payroll through Gusto, employee files, I-9s, Michigan ESTA, FLSA classification, workers' comp, and the annual cycles.

• 4+ years in recruiting-heavy HR, ideally at a company under 100 employees where you did a bit of everything
• You source your own candidates. You've never waited for resumes to show up.
• You've onboarded and trained hourly teams, not just handed out packets
• Working knowledge of Michigan employment law and payroll
• Comfortable with hard conversations: tough feedback, terminations, candidate rejections
• You run your own week against clear priorities

Nice to have: SHRM-CP or PHR, a background in high-turnover hourly industries (retail, hospitality, events, trades), ATS experience.

• $70,000-$85,000 salary, depending on experience
• Full time, salaried.
• In office in Ferndale five days a week, core hours Monday-Friday 8:00 - 5
