Sr. Solutions Architect

Detroit, MI (25% travel).

Presidio is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to support key account teams, drive services sales, and lead pre‑sales and post‑sales initiatives. The role requires deep technical expertise in storage, virtualization, compute, converged, cloud, and AI‑driven solutions.

• Provide technical expertise to key account teams and earn client trust through subject‑matter expertise and professionalism.
• Drive services sales and coordinate with services teams to align pre‑sales approaches.
• Develop high‑level solution designs, architecture and presentations for customers.
• Create bill of materials, scope of services, and professional‑service pricing, and write statements of work.
• Lead pre‑sales engagements, consultatively listening to clients and proposing solutions.
• Maintain vendor relationships, support vendor program execution.
• Share best practices and industry intelligence with team members.
• Assist with pipeline tracking and determination of professional‑services vehicles.
• Represent Presidio and educate clients on the benefits of Presidio‑led solutions.
• Attend industry events, contribute to social media, and maintain industry relevance.
• Support other team members and manage workload as needed.
• Meet with customers and collect requirements.
• Work with the account manager/sales team to develop customer relationships and solutions, and assist in the overall sales process.
• Create high‑level solution designs/architecture and present them to customers.
• Create customer‑facing presentations.
• Articulate strategies in group settings.
• Create a bill of materials & configurations for solutions.
• Build the scope of services and professional service pricing.
• Write a statement of work.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in storage, virtualization, compute, converged, cloud, or related technologies.
• Experience with OEM manufacturers and IT solution providers/VARs.
• Operational and design skills in AI‑SDDC, artificial intelligence software‑defined data center, including storage, backup, hyperconverged solutions, networking, etc.
• Cloud architecture strategies using Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
• Automation & orchestration strategies including UI Path, VMware Automation & Operations, or Ansible (Red Hat).

• AI‑SDDC technologies:
  • Storage & backup:
    Dell Technologies, Everpure, Net App, HPE, VAST Data.
  • Hyperconverged solutions:
    Nutanix, VMware, Dell.
  • Servers:
    Dell servers, Cisco UCS, HPE servers.
  • Networking:
    Broadcom VMware, Nutanix, appropriate storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC).
• Cloud Architecture:
  • Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS.
• Automation & Orchestration:
  • UI Path, VMware Automation & Operations, Ansible (Red Hat).

• Relevant industry certifications from Dell, Net App, Everpure, AWS, VMware, or similar vendors.
