Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Plumber
Role Description
This is a full‑time Skilled Tradesman position specializing in Plumbing and Refrigeration, with strong carpentry/mechanic skillset, working on‑site throughout Southeast Michigan. Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of plumbing and refrigeration systems and equipment for commercial projects. Additional responsibilities may include troubleshooting malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, and performing routine service calls to address urgent maintenance needs promptly.
The candidate must be self‑motivated and maintain the ability to complete tasks and work professionally with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete work efficiently and with a commitment to quality.
This role is being created to service our on‑going Client base with our Versa‑Vantage Program. We are looking for Full and Part Time positions where the successful Skilled Candidate will be providing full service Facility Maintenance and Repair of Kitchen Equipment, Cooler/Freezers, Refrigeration Units, Hand Sinks, Plumbing Fixtures, Reverse Osmosis and Water Softening Systems. Assembling and Setting of New Kitchen Equipment, Fixtures, Decor/Furniture and Stainless Steel installations and modifications.
Full Time successful candidate's minimum Salary Package to include Company Health & Dental, Company Truck and Tools, Company Computer and Phone as well as access to other Corporate Assets.
Qualifications- Proficiency in plumbing systems installation, repair, and maintenance
- Experience with refrigeration systems, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues
- Carpentry Skillset to include the ability to assemble and set Kitchen Equipment, Modify and Install Specialty Stainless Steel Fixtures, Decor/Furniture Packages
- Understanding of safety guidelines, tools, materials, and techniques within the skilled trades
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent problem‑solving and time‑management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate on projects
- Certifications in plumbing or refrigeration, or relevant technical training, are a plus
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements
- Previous experience in commercial construction or facility management is preferred
- Valid Michigan Chauffer's License is required, with a CLEAN Driving Record.
