The Ferndale Community Transportation Driver & Dispatcher will work under the supervision of the Recreation Manager & Program Specialist and operate the Ferndale Ride SMART Bus Shuttle (and other department vehicles). In addition to the operation of the Shuttle, they will assist with senior programming, planning, dispatching and operating the Ferndale Ride SMART Bus Transportation System.
Ideal Candidate
* Enjoys working directly with the public and contributing to community well-being
* Has strong communication and organizational skills
* Is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of supporting both driving and administrative tasks
* Works well in a team environment but can also operate independently
