Supervise and train cage cashiers, enforce department policies and internal controls.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED, higher education in banking, finance or related areas preferred.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Must possess moderate computer skill.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret basic instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to apply commonsense and sound judgment in varying situations.
- Use 10‑key by touch.
- Class III Gaming License
- Accountable for all in-house transactions regarding exchanges with all revenue outlets, slot attendants, table games and cashiers.
- Oversee, any and all activities in the cash cage department with regard to company funds.
- Ensure all policies and internal controls are being followed.
- Ensure cashier stations are functioning efficiently, accurately and friendly.
- Resolve employee and guest issues.
- Accountable for all cash dispensing machines on the gaming floor, ensure all are in operating condition and have adequate funds (ATMs).
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Possess strong abilities to lead by example (portray good work habits, customer service, co‑worker relations).
- Ensure all required log books and records are kept daily (Title 31, ICs).
- Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and deliver employee evaluations.
- Variation investigations, reports and follow up (employee disciplinary action if applicable).
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be required due to changes in policies, procedures, laws or reorganization. The supervisor will be required to perform these duties and responsibilities as required or needed.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations (including Federal, State and Tribal Gaming) as well as company policies, procedures, and controls.
- Comply with applicable Title 31 recordkeeping and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Constant standing, reaching, lifting, eye/hand coordination for counting money, pulling chip racks from shelves and hand rotating them, kneeling and/or lifting cash/currency/coins up 45 lbs.
- Constant pushing and/or pulling carts of supplies/money/equipment.
- Constant walking, bending, stooping, coordination for filing, mental ability to multi‑task.
- Frequently working rapidly with the ability to distinguish various chip colors, retention of detail, and concentration amid distractions.
- Lifting boxes, supplies, cash, coin, or other items required for company use up to 50 lbs.
- Works regularly with money (dust).
- Works in loud noise level environment.
- Exposed to tobacco smoke and odor.
