Dairy​/Deli Manager

Albertsons - 1815 Main Street - Responsibilities:
Provides direct leadership to DSSD department crew members including planning and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, coaching sessions and administering discipline when needed;
Mentors DSSD crew members to educate and sell dairy and deli products;
Manages training process for new DSSD crew members through probation, onboarding activities and department training videos;
Writes and places orders for all products and supplies;
Checks in orders when load is received and manages inventory, dates, stocks and cooler organization;
Prepares DSSD products for sale by stocking and facing per policies;
Writes daily plans and weekly work schedules;
Executes DSSD programs and corporate promotions at store level with the DSSD Sales Manager;
Maintains FIFO inventory to protect margins;
Rotates merchandise and maintains displays for freshness;
Coordinates POS maintenance and sign creation for DSSD department;
Maintains accurate records for damaged/spoiled merchandise;
Complies with food and workplace safety rules and sanitation standards;
Keeps product knowledge across departments to answer guest questions;
Keeps up with weekly specials, coupons and promotions to enhance guest experience;
Fosters a team-oriented environment with collaboration and cooperation;
Store operates seven days a week and may require weekend/holiday/shift work
