Description

At Barron Heating AC Electrical & Plumbing, we are committed to Improving Lives™. As our Commercial Development Specialist
, you'll help grow Barron's commercial presence by opening new doors, building relationships, and creating business opportunities throughout our community.

This isn't a desk-bound sales role. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations and working closely with our Commercial Sales Team, you'll spend much of your time in the field connecting with business owners, property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and other key decision-makers. You'll proactively develop your territory, build a network of commercial relationships, and identify opportunities where Barron's services can make a difference.

You'll have the independence to create opportunities, the support of an established 55-year local brand and experienced Commercial Team, and a compensation structure that rewards the business you help generate. If you're self-motivated, energized by meeting new people, and driven by turning relationships and initiative into measurable results, we want to hear from you.

At Barron, our Commercial Development Specialist will:
  • Represent Barron professionally and positively throughout the commercial marketplace.
  • Conduct proactive field prospecting, business-to-business outreach, phone and email follow-up, networking, and other business development activities within assigned commercial territories.
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial property owners, facility managers, property management companies, general contractors, and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities for commercial service, equipment replacement, energy-efficiency improvements, maintenance agreements, retrofit projects, and capital improvements.
  • Generate qualified opportunities for Commercial Sales, Service, Equipment Replacement, and Commercial Service Agreements (CSAs).
  • Increase Barron's brand awareness through consistent prospecting, relationship building, networking, and community presence.
  • Maintain consistent follow‑up and meaningful communication with prospects and commercial accounts.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of prospecting activities, customer interactions, follow‑up commitments, and opportunities within Barron's operating systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing Operations and Commercial Sales Team to identify target markets, strategic accounts, and growth opportunities.
  • Support seamless handoffs of qualified opportunities to Commercial Sales personnel.
  • Manage time and territory effectively to maximize prospect engagement and business development opportunities.
  • Deliver a professional, courteous, and customer-focused experience in every interaction.
An outstanding Commercial Development Specialist will have the following natural strengths & talents:
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with new people.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive with a strong desire to create new opportunities.
  • Goal‑oriented and persistent with the ability to consistently follow up.
  • Strong customer service skills with a solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Comfortable spending significant time in the field visiting and prospecting commercial businesses.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Compensation:
  • $20.00/hour base pay
  • Approximately 25–29 hours per week
  • $50 spiff for qualifying commercial sales…
