F&B Inventory Specialist

Position Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, stocking, rotating, and maintaining inventory for food and beverage products, paper goods, and liquor. This position ensures all products are accurately stored, properly rotated following FIFO standards, and readily available to meet operational needs. The Inventory Specialist is also responsible for pulling, picking, and staging internal orders for all Food & Beverage departments, ensuring orders are complete, accurate, and prepared on time.

This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while complying with all SRC policies and requirements, including those related to food safety and restricted products.

Essential Job Functions:

• Rotate inventory using FIFO methods to ensure product freshness and prevent expiration
• Check expiration dates, log waste, then remove damaged, expired, or unsellable product
• Assist Executive Steward in maintaining proper organization, including all coolers, freezers, and food storage areas.
• Fulfill warehouse orders for all Food & Beverage departments by accurately picking, staging, and preparing products for delivery or transfer
• Organize inventory to support efficient picking and replenishment
• Restock product to maintain par levels and ensure availability for order fulfillment
• Label & date according to department and food safety procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all storage, cooler, freezer, and staging areas
• Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations at all times
• Properly handle, and secure all restricted items EI:
  Liquor, Beer, Wine
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and hand trucks
• Break down pallets and properly dispose of cardboard & trash
• Identify and communicate low stock levels, discrepancies, or quality issues to management
• Support general warehouse and department operations, as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Previous experience in food & beverage, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to safely lift and move products as required

Licensing Requirements:

• Class II Gaming License issued from the Lummi Nation Gaming Commission
• Washington State Food Handlers Card

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Constantly seeing, hearing, reading and talking
• Occasionally balancing, bending, reaching, holding and stooping
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Working conditions:

• Work is performed in kitchens as well as in a warehouse setting supporting Food & Beverage
• Environment includes dry storage areas, coolers, freezers & warehouse
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including refrigerated and frozen conditions
• Fast-paced operational setting with regular delivery and order-fulfillment activity
• Shared workspace with other Food and Beverage staff and departments
• Presence of warehouse noise from equipment, deliveries, and daily operations
