Field based Crane Technician

Up to £45,000 DOE

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Field-based - Southern England
Overtime:
Regular overtime available, paid at time and a half
 
We are currently recruiting for a Field-Based Crane Technician to join an established engineering and service business.
 
This is a hands-on, mobile role covering customer sites across Southern England. You'll be responsible for carrying out planned servicing, repairs and attending breakdowns, working independently from a fully equipped company van.
 
The position would suit someone with a strong mechanical or engineering background who has knowledge of hydraulics and electrics and is looking for a varied field-based position.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
 
Carrying out scheduled servicing and repairs on cranes
Attending breakdowns and diagnosing faults
Travelling to customer sites across Southern England
Working with hydraulic and electrical systems
Carrying out work accurately and to a high standard
Managing your workload while working independently
Completing additional duties as required  About You
We're looking for someone who:
 
Has a good level of mechanical and technical knowledge
Has a basic understanding of hydraulics and electrics
Has an interest in cranes and lifting equipment
Is comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Is methodical, organised and reliable
Has excellent attention to detail
Can work to deadlines and follow instructions
Has good communication skills
Is punctual and dependable
Is happy travelling throughout Southern England  What's on Offer

Overtime paid at time and a half
Occasional Saturday working when required
Fully equipped field-based van
Manufacturer/product training provided
Varied field-based role with plenty of independence  There is regular overtime associated with the position, particularly for early starts when attending customer sites. Saturday work may also be required from time to time.
