Snowmaker - Winter; Seasonal

We are looking to fill the position of Snowmaker at Fernie Alpine Resort. You execute the resort's goals of producing and maintaining high‑quality snow surfaces as you know there is no ski season without snowmakers. You are the key to winter season success. The ideal candidate will have both snowmobile and record-keeping experience, be self‑confident, physically capable, and desire to work outside in a mountain environment.

• Maintain & monitor entire snow making system (pumps, hoses & snow guns)
• Shovel and clear ice
• Roll and pack hoses
• Perform general labor tasks as needed
• Keep records of general snow making details
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

• Physical capability
• Ability and desire to work outdoors (day or night) in winter
• Self‑confidence, reliability, and are a quick learner
• Ability to drive a snowmobile (an asset)
• The capability to work various, round the clock shifts
• Prior experience in related field (an asset)

• Competitive wage: $19.00/hour
