Mercor is seeking experienced producers and directors to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in media production and direction through hands‑on scenario creation and validation. It’s an opportunity to contribute your expertise to cutting‑edge AI research while working independently and remotely on your own schedule.

• Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real‑world production and direction based on your professional experience
• Create realistic situations involving project development, creative vision execution, budget management, crew coordination, talent direction, and production scheduling
• Develop scenarios for script development, pre‑production planning, on‑set decision‑making, post‑production oversight, managing creative conflicts, working with stakeholders, handling production challenges, and delivering projects on deadline
• Review and evaluate AI responses to production and direction queries for accuracy and professional standards
• Provide detailed feedback on production and direction scenarios to improve AI training

• 4+ years professional experience as a producer, director, show runner, or production manager in media/entertainment organizations
• Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities
• Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills
• Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz
• 14 years experience preferred

• Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule
• Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours
• Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks

• Independent contractor engagement through Mercor
• Hourly compensation, paid weekly via Stripe Connect
• Payments based on services rendered; contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods
