Job DescriptionNovo Dia is seeking a subject matter expert to support development of a custom companion curriculum for targeted language development and academic literacy. Materials will be designed for small-group or pull-out instruction and will complement existing core curriculum and intervention systems while maintaining flexibility for teachers.
- A spring semester sequence outline for three grade levels with clear scope, pacing, and instructional focus
- TEKS-aligned standards mapping for each grade level
- A consistent lesson format used across all lessons and grades
- Lesson plans designed for efficient rollout and practical classroom use
- Activity writeups, teacher directions, and student-facing text only
- Student-facing materials designed for flexibility and differentiation, supporting accessibility and inclusion
- Assessments aligned to lesson objectives and standards
- Write and revise lessons using a consistent Novo Dia-aligned format and quality bar
- Map and verify standards alignment across the full sequence
- Design instruction that strengthens language development, vocabulary, comprehension, and academic literacy
- Build explicit connections to grade‑level expectations within small‑group instruction time
- Develop teacher‑facing guidance that supports clear, consistent implementation
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and meet agreed deadlines through collaborative check‑ins
- Teaching, coaching, or curriculum design experience in elementary ELA and language development
- Demonstrated experience writing standards‑aligned instructional materials and assessments
- Ability to write clear teacher‑facing guidance and student‑facing materials that are accessible and inclusive
- Strong attention to scope control, pacing, and coherence across a multi‑grade sequence
- Reliability, responsiveness, and comfort working in iterative review cycles
