Position: ROYAL CARIBBEAN - 2ND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position Assistant Electrician for Royal Caribbean!

The 2nd Electrical Engineer is a licensed engineering officer responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems onboard the vessel. The role ensures safe, continuous, and efficient operation of shipboard power generation, distribution systems, and electrical equipment across all technical and hotel areas.

Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems onboard
  • Support operation of power generation and electrical distribution systems
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on shipboard electrical equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Assist in installation and testing of new electrical equipment when required
  • Monitor system performance and ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Maintain daily work reports and update technical logs for the Chief Electrical Engineer
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, ISM/ISO, SQM, and USPH standards
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergencies involving electrical systems
  • Coordinate with other engineering and technical teams for repairs and maintenance
  • Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures onboard
  • Ensure proper handling and use of electrical tools, equipment, and spare parts
Requirements
  • Must hold Electrical Studies certificate(s) or diploma(s) in area of technical specialty.
  • Three or more yearsโ€™ progressive electrical/technical experience and training in the electrical field.
  • Minimum 21 years old.
  • Good level of English language.
  • Previous experience in marine, offshore, or industrial electrical systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, control systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with shipboard safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and high-pressure environment.
  • Physically fit and able to participate in emergency response duties.
