Digital Mission Engineering Intern

Next Gen is offering high-tech internship opportunities to students with a strong desire and interest to learn about digital mission engineering. No prior work history is necessary. We are willing to train the right candidates! Interns will be assigned a full-time mentor and will be embedded in team projects where possible. • Developing SysML models
• Using state-of-the art physics simulation tools
• Pursuing certification in common engineering tools
• Analyzing simulation results
• Reviewing research and development (R&D) requirements and opportunities
• Analyzing system requirements and proposing solutions to meet mission objectives
• Assisting in the documentation of system architectures, design decisions, and implementation details
• Engaging in cross-functional collaboration with teams from different disciplines, such as software development, hardware engineering, and cybersecurity, to ensure holistic solutions

• US Citizenship required
• Major in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Thorough understanding of internet research
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Remote work allowed
• Laptop provided
• Expected hours: :10 per week
