On-Site Project Manager; East

Overview

Symbotic is an AI‑powered robotic technology platform that transforms warehousing and supply chain operations.

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead large‑scale automation solutions at client sites.

• Lead cross‑functional teams (design, engineering, supply chain, finance, installation, commissioning, operations, suppliers, and customers) to deliver automation solutions.
• Ensure alignment, keep execution on track, and manage risks early.
• Maintain communication with customers and executive leadership, and mentor other project managers.
• Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate site preparation, system integration, and final acceptance.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, installation and commissioning leaders on timelines.
• Proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
• Facilitate cross‑functional meetings and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Cultivate transparency, timely decision‑making, and strong partnerships.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience managing large automation, material handling, or construction projects.
• Experience in scheduling, scope, cost, and risk management for complex technical projects.
• Background in robotic automation, ASRS, or material handling preferred.
• Experience managing design/build, installation, and construction projects.
• Skilled at stakeholder management across clients, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong problem‑solving skills under pressure and ability to implement creative solutions.
• Effective negotiator who balances competing priorities.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, earned value management, and data‑driven performance tracking (Smartsheet, Jira).
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

• Remote, travel‑based position; up to 60% on‑site travel required.
• Candidate must be located in the Eastern or Central time zones.
• Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client locations.

Employees may need to work at heights up to 45 feet, in restrictive areas, and under temperatures ranging from 32°F to 105°F. PPE such as hard hats, safety vests, steel toe boots, safety harnesses, and eye protection may be required. Must comply with lockout‑tagout and fall protection protocols.

Base range: $101,000 – $138,600. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.
