VP of Community Facility Finance
Remote Full‑Time – Reports to Chief Investment Officer – RD
OverviewLead a high‑impact investment team driving origination, structuring, underwriting, and management of complex community development investments across Education, Healthcare, and other sectors.
Deep expertise in public/private financing, tax credit programs, and creative capital structures to advance economic development in under‑resourced communities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of investment professionals to achieve business goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Coordinate professional development programs to enhance technical and leadership skills.
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with mission‑aligned borrowers and partners in education and healthcare.
- Sustain business growth by sourcing high‑quality community impact investment opportunities.
- Represent RDF at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
- Screen, underwrite, and close complex transactions, analyzing community impact, financial performance, governance, and feasibility.
- Structure deals involving NMTC, tax‑exempt bonds, grants, and subsidy programs.
- Prepare and present credit memoranda to investment and credit committees.
- Manage documentation and closing processes for secured and unsecured credit products.
- Oversee post‑closing activities, including construction monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
- Provide strategic oversight of a diverse investment portfolio.
- Deliver technical assistance and guidance to clients throughout the relationship lifecycle.
- Maintain deep knowledge of community facility finance for education and healthcare markets.
- Collaborate internally and externally to develop innovative financing solutions.
- Represent the organization at community events and fundraisers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Urban Planning, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in community development finance, real estate development, or investment banking; track record sourcing, underwriting, and managing complex transactions.
- Proficiency with tax credit programs (NMTC), tax‑exempt bonds, and subsidy programs.
- Experience working with underserved communities.
- Skills: Strong financial modeling and risk assessment; analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation; effective communication of complex information.
