Physical Therapists - Outpatient Orthopedic Center

Position Summary

Join our Reno Orthopedic Center team as a Physical Therapist. This position offers a flexible ramp‑up time and patient volume control based on clinician preference. You will receive a documented 30‑minute block of documentation time for every half day of patient care, base pay that is always guaranteed, and performance bonuses paid biannually (without impacting base pay). Growth opportunities include CME funds, lead‑therapist roles, and an Orthopedic Residency Program.

• Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Review the physician’s referral and patient’s medical records, and confer with the patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program.
• Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Test, measure, and record in the patient’s electronic medical record the patient’s strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency.
• Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record, and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed.
• Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health.
• Instruct patients in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
• Discharge patients from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow‑up care or referrals.

• Active Nevada Physical Therapy license from the Nevada State Board within 60 days of employment.

• We target a 2 patients per hour caseload per therapist once fully ramped up (1:2), with flexibility based on clinician preference, patient mix, and support levels.
• We use Epic Garden Plot as our EMR and are actively working on AI dictation and scribing to reduce documentation load.
