Occupational Therapist / OT

- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
- Regularly re‑assess the effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings, and family conferences.
- Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and educational resources.
- Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, people receiving services, and family members.
- Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhanced patient outcomes.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses is preferred.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds; capable of moving, lifting, or transferring patients that may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
- Requirements include fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
- Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
- Health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on location policy, local and state regulations, to verify that the employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
