Requirements:

• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
• Accurately documents patients' status and submits clinical paperwork timely.
• Attends educational meetings and coordinates department in-services.
• Notifies supervisors of any equipment failures, supply shortages, or changes in staffing or clients.
• Schedules clients and performs various office tasks.
• Applies infection control concepts during patient care activities.
• Accepts clinical assignments consistent with qualifications to care for patients.
• Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third-party payors through education and coaching.
