Executive Director, Global Supply Chain Planning

We are seeking a senior leader to define and drive the global supply chain planning strategy, operations, and transformation agenda. This role oversees integrated planning functions across clinical and commercial supply, ensuring that advanced tools, analytics, and collaboration deliver resilience, agility, and execution excellence.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading global supply chain organizations in complex, regulated industries and a proven ability to guide large-scale teams through transformation.

This position is remote within the United States.

• Lead Integrated Business Planning (IBP) to align demand, supply, and financial goals.
• Oversee demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and network planning across diverse product portfolios.
• Drive forecasting and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making and risk mitigation.
• Ensure planning excellence from raw materials to finished goods, balancing capacity, lifecycle, and product availability.
• Champion the adoption of digital planning tools and data-driven decision frameworks to enhance visibility and agility.
• Develop and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap for global planning and process optimization.
• Lead continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and process excellence methodologies.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and supply resilience.
• Utilize predictive analytics and modeling to anticipate trends and optimize resource allocation.
• Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, R&D, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and IT to ensure end-to-end alignment.
• Manage planning cycle processes across global, regional, and site teams, ensuring synchronization and accountability.
• Build and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead change management and enable adoption of AI-driven planning and decision-support tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Life Sciences; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain planning, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Proven success leading transformation initiatives in regulated or technology-intensive industries (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, or consumer goods).
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement advanced planning processes and digital solutions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across global, matrixed environments.
