Position Summary
We are seeking an Inventory Controls Specialist in our Fernley, NV Plant.
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring efficient control processes. The role involves daily communication and collaboration with various departments, conducting cycle counts, managing inventory discrepancies, and utilizing SAP for data entry and verification.
Compensation and Hours- Starting Pay: $26.00
- Standard hours of operations:
Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm, occasional overtime based on business needs. - No travel required.
- Daily Communications – attend tier meetings and other meetings as required.
- Regularly conduct cycle counts of expensed, semi‑finished, and raw materials to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Enter, verify, and post inventory count documents in SAP for streamlined data.
- Verify consignment inventory accuracy at the end of each month, ensuring alignment with records.
- Monitor and control inventory practices to guarantee accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Track and report on inventory accuracy, analyzing trends and proposing improvements.
- Perform audits and write receipts of inventory.
- Monitor and report on uncommon or specialty products within the inventory.
- Perform year‑end physical inventory duties, ensuring thorough and accurate stock counts.
- Other duties as required.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking and control methods.
- Processing specifications and other product and company specific information.
- Basic math skills including decimals and percentages.
- Email communications to company partners and vendors, internal memos, invoices, production schedules and reports, etc.
- Professional oral and written communication when dealing with internal company partners, external vendors, leadership team, crews, training new employees and safe workplace guidance as needed.
- Knowledge of SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose solutions to improve inventory control.

- Forklift experience preferred or willing to learn.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment – preferred.
- Expected work environment:
Office and Manufacturing setting. - Exposures to loud noises that will require hearing protection.
- Exposure to hazardous materials including mica dust, combustible dust, solvent fumes, etc.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts or machinery.
- Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
- Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) on the production.
- Other PPE as defined by management within assigned areas.
