Senior Industrial Maintenance

Overview

Purpose/Primary Function We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to support operations at our composite decking manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role requiring broad experience across multiple critical plant systems rather than expertise in a single discipline. The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge of industrial boilers, air compressor systems, hot oil systems, chillers, hydraulics, extrusion equipment, grinding and crushing systems, PLC troubleshooting, and flame safety systems.

This position is essential to maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of both plant utilities and production equipment. Candidates must demonstrate experience working across a wide range of industrial utility and manufacturing systems; this is not a boiler-only technician role.

• Repair and maintain preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems including weight feeders, scales, conveyors, hot oil, steam, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.
• Repair all electrical, electronic systems including servo equipment, photo eyes, electronic sensors, temperature controls and combustion equipment.
• Troubleshooting of programmable logic controls including understanding of ladder logic.
• Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, facility maintenance and preventative maintenance to the facility and all equipment.
• Participate in the management and maintenance of the parts inventory system, including researching equipment to determine parts required.
• Support engineering in the improvement and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep plant appearance at an acceptable and safe manner.
• Working knowledge of motors, drives, control wiring and PLC’s required.

Physical Demands: In this role, you must be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to work from heights, stand for extended periods and climb ladders.

Work Environment: This job takes place in and around a manufacturing facility. This role will be exposed to a wide variety of environmental situations, including a wide range of temperatures. Position entails a significant amount of time wearing a harness in a boom lift, up to 30+ feet off the ground. Work may occasionally take place in confined spaces, and employee will be expected to wear the appropriate PPE.

Required

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with ALL of the following:
• Industrial boilers
• Air compressor systems
• Hot oil systems
• Chillers
• Hydraulic systems
• PLC troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Safety-first mindset

• Experience working on extrusion equipment preferred
