Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Band Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting metal materials according to specifications using band saw equipment while maintaining quality and production standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut metal materials to specified dimensions.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
Set up saw equipment and adjust cutting parameters as needed.
Measure and verify material dimensions before and after cutting.
Inspect finished materials to ensure quality standards are met.
Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment when authorized.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred.
Experience operating band saws or other metal-cutting equipment preferred.
Ability to read tape measures, calipers, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and metal materials.
Experience in steel, aluminum, or metal fabrication environments.
Forklift and overhead crane experience.
Basic math and measurement skills.
