Position Summary

What you'll do:
Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a professional who has experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance. In this fast‑paced environment you will support and oversee repair of Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC skills and tools.
• Use the work‑order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and be comfortable working at heights frequently.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Mechanical license in city and/or state where the job is located.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

• The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
• Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
