SummaryThe Program Manager provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of one or more social service or community-based programs. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, staff supervision, compliance with policies and funding requirements, and collaboration with internal and external partners. The position supports individuals, families, or communities with complex needs and contributes to program growth, evaluation, and sustainability.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of assigned programs, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Supervise, train, support, and evaluate program staff to fulfill contractual responsibilities.
- Ensure services are delivered with fidelity to approved models, evidence-based practices, and organizational standards.
- Ensure training is delivered statewide on specified topics.
- Coordinate intake, referrals, assignments, authorizations, and service continuity as applicable.
- Monitor program outcomes, data collection, documentation, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with Director to ensure program billing is accurate and submitted as each program may require.
- Collaborate with Director on implementing Program Improvement Planning.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation or quality standards.
- Collaborate with leadership on program development, budgeting, and continuous quality improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, referral sources, and stakeholders.
- Respond to crises or urgent situations as needed and participate in on-call or emergency coverage when required.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and cross-departmental initiatives.
- Support outreach, marketing, community education, and program growth activities.
- Contribute to staff development, onboarding, and professional training.
- Protect confidentiality and adhere to ethical, legal, and privacy requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred for advanced or senior leadership roles.
- Relevant experience in program management, supervision, or direct service delivery required.
- Experience in nonprofit, community-based, or publicly funded programs preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
- Working knowledge of social service systems, behavioral health, housing, child or adult services, or related fields.
- Experience working with diverse populations and community partners.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and use electronic record systems.
- Ability to function effectively in both office-based and community-based environments.
- Capacity to respond professionally and effectively in stressful or crisis situations.
Valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance.
