Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software
About You
We're looking for an engineer who sits comfortably at the intersection of data engineering and software craftsmanship.
You'll work with large-scale geolocation data using analytical and relational databases (e.g. Click House, Postgre
SQL), build backend microservices, and contribute to the full data and product layer. AI is not an afterthought here – it's part of how we work and what we build. You'll use AI‑assisted tools as a daily habit and actively contribute to designing and building multi‑agent systems that cut the time it takes our users to reach critical insights. You'll work in a cross‑functional team, close to the product – everyone here shares responsibility for what we ship and how it behaves in production.
We move fast and the environment changes constantly, so adaptability matters as much as expertise.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows for geolocation datasets at scale
- Work with analytical and relational databases (e.g. Click House, Postgre
SQL) – schema design, query optimisation, and integration patterns - Design and develop backend microservices with FastAPI, integrated into a broader event‑driven architecture
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers in a cross‑functional setup – contributing to product decisions, not just implementation
- Write clean, production‑grade Python with attention to code quality, testability, and maintainability
- Use AI‑assisted tools actively throughout your daily workflow and contribute to building AI agents and multi‑agent systems that cut the time it takes our users to reach critical insights
- Strong Python skills – idiomatic, well‑structured code; you care about maintainability and readability, not just getting things to run
- Data engineering experience – some hands‑on background with data pipelines, transformations, or working with analytical or relational databases; depth is less important than solid fundamentals
- Backend development with FastAPI or similar – experience building and shipping web backend services in Python;
FastAPI is a plus but not a hard requirement - Familiarity with event‑driven architectures – understanding of async patterns, message queues, or event streaming (Kafka, Rabbit
MQ, etc.) - Code quality mindset – you write tests, review code thoughtfully, and think about the next person to work in your codebase
- Comfort with change and ambiguity – you don’t need all the answers upfront; you iterate, ask good questions, and keep moving
- Openness to AI‑augmented development – you already use AI tooling as a genuine daily productivity multiplier, or you’re actively eager to adopt this approach; we understand this is still a new practice for many engineers and we’re happy to support the journey, but the interest and drive to work this way must be real
- Interest in AI agents – exposure to building agentic systems or multi‑agent workflows, or a clear and demonstrated enthusiasm to develop this skill on the job
- Product mindset – you engage with the "why" behind the work, not just the "what"; you take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
- Experience with Click House or other columnar / OLAP databases
- Hands‑on work with geolocation or spatial data formats (GeoJSON, H3, PostGIS, etc.)
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar)
- Experience with LLM APIs and agent frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph or similar)
- Working from home – hit your goals from the comfort of your home because we value performance, not the place
- Flexible hours – because we promote work‑life balance
- Yearly performance bonus – to reward good performance and hard work
- Paid medical insurance – because we like to take care of you
- Daily lunch allowance – so you can save lots of money, time, and effort by enjoying your free lunch at the office or home every day
- Sport/Gym allowance – allowance to focus more on yourself, your well‑being, and your health
- Udemy unlimited subscription – to promote your learning and development and grow your career
- Onboarding plan and training – so that you have a smooth induction and feel confident and ready to take over your new role
- Equipment support – so you have all the tools to do effectively and efficiently your work
- No dress code – because we want you to be as comfortable as possible
- Gifts and rewards – for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and personal milestones
- Happy hours, coffee time, online team building, company events, and much more – to promote team bonding and of course to have fun
- Fresh fruit, snacks, coffee, and tea at the office – because work makes us hungry
