Job Overview

Warehouse Associate – full‑time position at MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Reno, NV (Warehouse). The role focuses on daily receiving, inspecting shipments, verifying orders, handling powered equipment and supporting cross‑functional teams.

• Verify products and match packing slips to purchase orders using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantities through visual inspections, counting, reference manuals or measuring instruments.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging, and conduct research to resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels using item numbers or purchase orders, and scan labels into the warehouse computer system.
• Handle all incoming inter‑warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift); load, unload, and move product by hand or skid; and move totes/skids for re‑use.
• Stage product and form/seal boxes for put‑away bins, overstock and racks.
• Train cross‑functionally in other departments and functions to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines at all times, meet specified productivity and quality expectations, and participate in the Work Clean program.

• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license (in some instances).
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer’s needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.
• Internal certification to pick DOT‑regulated items, if required.

Stand, walk, lift materials up to 75 pounds (individually or in teams), carry, push, pull, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, reach high and low, twist or press wrist and hand repeatedly, hear and see (depth perception and peripheral vision), coordinate mentally, maintain mental alertness for the entire shift, protect PPE as required, and operate at heights up to 50 feet.

Starting at $20.75/hr, depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range is based on comparable roles in similar industries and may be adjusted as market conditions change.
