Qualifications
- Must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting college or university, or successfully completed a 20 hour department-approved substitute teacher training.
- Substitute teachers follow the regular teachers’ prepared lesson plans and teach the material to be presented in those lesson plans. Substitute teaching is not to be viewed as a supervision/classroom monitor position; it is a teaching position.
