Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Registered Nurse - PRN, Days

Operating Room

• As an Operating Room Circulator RN, serves as a central member of the perioperative team, ensuring that each surgical procedure is well-coordinated, organized, and patient-centered.
• Responsible for preparing the operating room, verifying patient information, ensuring essential equipment and supplies are available, and maintaining a safe and orderly surgical environment.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical and anesthesia teams, supports them throughout each procedure, maintains accurate documentation, and acts as the patient’s advocate from arrival to transfer.
• Maintains strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and clear, professional communication; works collaboratively to uphold high standards of safety and care.

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licerure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
