RN – Nurse – Acute Rehab, Part‑time (2–12hr), Days job at Mercy, Festus, MO.

Our unit provides comprehensive collaborative care to all adult and adult‑geriatric patients with neurological and other medical conditions of recent onset or regression and who have experienced loss of functions in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, or communication.

Frequent diagnoses include CVA, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, hip fracture, joint replacement, and other neurological syndromes.

Assists in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes administrative duties as delegated by manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure required in the duty location.
• Physical requirements:
  
  push, pull and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; prolonged standing, walking, gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting during shifts.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion of an equivalent course within 30 days of hire.
• Additional certifications may be required based on the unit hired to or obtained within the required timeframe.
