Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) . Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Premium Night Shift Sign On Bonus:
Graduate LPN $3,000
Experienced LPN $4,000
Cardiac Med Intermediate LPN-Weekender
24 hours per week, Nights Mercy Hospital Jefferson We are also known as the Progressive Care Unit or PCU. Our unit is an intermediate unit that is a step down from our intensive care but a step above med/surg as far as patient acuity
Cardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic.
Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no vents/but high flow ) 02 needs/new bipap, etc. then mix of any other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care.
Fast paced unit combining aspects of ED and ICU into one department--busyness of ED & critical care aspect of ICU.Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
License:
current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
