HVAC Service Technician

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role directly impacts customer satisfaction, callback ratios, and service ticket performance within a primarily residential service environment. Collaborate with dispatch and service leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

This position covers a 50-mile service radius from DeSoto, MO.

HVAC Service Technician Benefits and Compensation:

• $30–$45 per hour based on experience

HVAC Service Technician Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC field experience
• EPA Certification
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps
• Experience servicing high-efficiency HVAC systems
• Ability to work independently and manage a full service schedule
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work in attics and crawlspaces
• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems with minimal oversight
• Maintain strong productivity while keeping callback ratios low
• Accurately document service findings, repairs, and recommendations in service software
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule and respond to emergency service calls

HVAC Service Technician Preferred Background & Skills:

• Experience with in a residential service model focused on maintenance agreements
• Familiarity with dispatch or service management software
• Proven track record of maintaining strong average ticket performance
