We are currently looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Officer (EHS) with a passion for human services. CompensationNew hires for this position typically start between $73,448.80 and $97,931.73 annually, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions.

- Lead enterprise‑wide identification, assessment, and mitigation of environmental, health, and safety risks.
- Review Safety Committee meetings, recommend, plan, and implement process improvements.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits; implement process improvements as needed.
- Disseminate pertinent safety information & changes to best practices; provide training as needed.
- Lead efforts to control safety‑related costs and implement processes to reduce costs.
- Create and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for all positions within Pioneer Enterprises.
- Manage the respiratory protection program for Pioneer Industries.
- Manage the lockout‑tag‑out procedures and compliance.
- Manage machine guarding inspection and compliance.
- Lead incident and near‑miss investigations with root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
- Own EHS data integrity, dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Create and provide role‑specific safety training.
- Maintain records related to Environmental, Safety, and health requirements for Pioneer Industries.
- Manage the Pioneer Industries Stormwater Pollution Prevention permit and all applicable reports.
- Monitor hazardous waste activities (Dangerous Waste Manifests, Shipments, Tier 2 reports).
- Submit King County's Industrial Wastewater Discharge permit (Zero Discharge) and all applicable reporting.
- Maintain Puget Sound Clean Air Agency authorizations.
- Track and provide safety‑related data to management.
- Oversee and maintain current SDS documentation.
- Independently draft frameworks, project plans, and implementation roadmaps.
- Design and implement standardized EHS processes and operating procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in complex operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience with compliance, investigations, and safety program implementation.
- Proficiency with EHS systems and Microsoft Office.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- HAZWOPER 40 certification.
- Professional certification (CSP, ASP, CIH, or similar).
- Experience supporting multi‑site operations.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives.
- Experience quantifying safety‑related ROI and financial impacts.
