Position SummaryThe Cage Cashier II position is responsible for receiving and exchanging cash, checks, and gaming chips from patrons while handling and processing department fills, credits, and bank reimbursements and transactions. Additional duties include preparing cash drawers, reconciliation and accounting records, maintaining records for accuracy, verifying and recording fills and credits utilizing CTL's, ensuring ticket redemption machines are maintained and in proper working order while ensuring they have the appropriate currency and coin levels, receiving cash revenues from count rooms, and preparing daily deposits.
Provides superior guest service to patrons and internal personnel. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.
Starting wage is $25.56/hr plus tips, increasing to $26.43/hr plus tips at successful completion of the 90‑day orientation period. This full‑time position features excellent employer‑paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum six months previous cage cashier experience is required
- Must have good math skills (cage cashier test is required)
- Ten‑key experience is required
- Additional education and or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
- Must have good manual and finger dexterity
- Must have good hand and eye coordination
- Must be able to bend, reach and squat
- Must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must have the mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke‑filled environment
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre‑employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
