Job Summary
PNW Warehousing is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources professional to support our growing team and day-to-day HR operations. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, helping create a positive, compliant, and performance-driven workplace while supporting the fast-paced needs of a warehousing and logistics environment.
The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and comfortable balancing employee support with business needs. Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, policy and compliance support, training, HR documentation, and maintaining accurate employee records. This position will work closely with leadership and frontline employees to strengthen communication, support employee development, address workplace concerns, and ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe Human Resources professional will support the full employee lifecycle while partnering closely with leadership to maintain a positive, productive, and compliant workplace.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offers, background checks, and pre-employment processes.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation to ensure employees have a welcoming and organized introduction to the company.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HRIS information, job descriptions, and other required HR documentation.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding company policies, benefits, payroll-related questions, workplace concerns, and general HR matters.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, assisting with investigations, documenting issues, and recommending appropriate resolutions.
- Partner with managers and supervisors on coaching, performance management, corrective actions, attendance concerns, and employee development.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, employee communications, and coordination with benefit providers.
- Monitor time and attendance practices and work with leadership to address attendance and scheduling concerns consistently.
- Support payroll preparation by reviewing employee changes, timekeeping information, deductions, and other HR-related payroll data for accuracy.
- Coordinate employee performance reviews, introductory/probationary reviews, compensation changes, promotions, and other employment status changes.
- Assist with employee separations, including documentation, final paperwork, benefit notifications, and offboarding.
- Maintain compliance with federal, Washington State, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support workplace safety initiatives, workers' compensation administration, incident documentation, and return-to-work processes.
- Maintain and update employee policies, handbook materials, forms, and HR procedures as business or regulatory requirements change.
- Coordinate required and developmental training for employees and leadership.
- Track HR metrics and identify trends related to turnover, attendance, recruiting, retention, and other workforce needs.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, company events, and initiatives that strengthen workplace culture.
- Partner with operations leadership to understand staffing needs and provide practical HR solutions that support warehouse and customer requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and company information.
- Assist with HR audits, compliance reporting, unemployment claims, employment verifications, and other administrative requirements.
- Perform additional HR and administrative duties as needed to support the employees and continued growth of PNW Warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment policies, and federal and Washington State employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
