Overview

Responsibilities- Work a full‑time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location on the swing shift.
- Set up and program Citizen A‑20 and A‑32 Swiss screw machines.
- Monitor screw machines, adjust speed, feed, or tool position to meet blueprint requirements.
- Verify finished work pieces against specifications using standard measuring tools.
- Work with small parts and tight tolerances (±0.0001).
- Develop CNC programs manually or using Mastercam, Partmaker, or Espirit.
- Ensure traceability for all work according to ISO 9001 procedures.
- Meet job standard times with minimal supervision.
- Recognize production problems and communicate them to the supervisor.
- Demonstrate a good attitude and strong work ethics.
- Read and interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings.
- Utilize knowledge of G and M codes (Mastercam or Part Maker desirable).
- Follow all safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of equipment and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum five years of experience programming and setting up Swiss Type screw machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami).
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and concentrate for long periods.
- Proper use of basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.).
- Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
- Ability to check parts using a microscope.
- Minimum five years of CNC Swiss Type lathe experience.
- Above average planning and follow‑through capabilities.
- Experience with MS applications.
- Strong math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Completion of vocational or college training in a machine shop (certificate of completion of basic machining course).
- Lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Reach forward, up, down, and to the side to move equipment.
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Reach with hands and arms; manipulate, handle, or feel material.
- Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
Work is performed in a machine shop environment with exposure to noise, vibration, and protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, and hearing conservation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
